While posting a video in Video section of the forum , please read it carefully , as it is helpful to you as well as it will make your thread more more easy to understand to members of the forum .

Basic requirements while posting a video

You must post following details with the video link in your thread :


1. Size of File (in MB's )
2. Duration of Video
3. Caps (Preview Images) of Video
4. Quality of video
5. Dimension of video(If available)

THREAD MAKING :

While posting your thread , Please do not make separate threads for small video clips/scenes. If you have many scenes of same category/kind , eg. funny videos, bollywood masala videos , hollywood movie scenes , etc. , Make one thread , & post all these scenes in that one thread . Posting a separate thread for each clip makes the section of forum a bit crowdy & threads of other memeber's loose the attention of other members for viewing.


IN CASE YOU ARE UPLOADING A VIDEO YOURSELF :


SMALL VIDEO CLIPS : ( Size below 5 MB )
For Posting small video clips , donot use servers which have time/data limits. As small video will take very less time to download , there is no need to use high speed servers like Rapidshare, Megaupload , Sexuploader etc.
You can use the servers like Megashare , Depositfiles etc as for small clips , these are best . Although they provide a little bit lower speed for download , but you can download without any time/data limit from these servers . Also , you can download many files at a time simultaneously .


MEDIUM SIZE VIDEOS : ( Size 5 MB to 100 MB)
For this category of videos , use servers which provide reletivly high speed , and ofcourse , you can bypass their time/data limit. eg. In case of Megaupload & sexuploader , you can bypass the Country download limits slot by a simple process.


FULL LENGTH VIDEOS :
Here , for big files , use high speed server like rapidshare , because they assure high speed download.



IN CASE YOU ARE UPLOADING A VIDEO FILE IN RAR/ZIP COMPRESSION :
Before uploading , make sure the file extracts correctly & password is working well. In case you have compressed in Winrar , after adding to archive , check from its feature "TEST" that it is archived successfully.



IN CASE YOU HAVE GOT THE LINKS FROM OTHER SOURCES :
Here , make sure following things :

1. Check whether the links you are posting , are not dead.
2. In case of Multi-file video , make sure all parts are available.
3. In case of multi-file video , write whether all parts are required to run the video , or all parts are playable individually.
4. In acse it is password protected , post the password alongwith links and make sure this password works.
5. Check before posting whether caps & video are same .
6. In case you don't have Caps , read Post 2 on how to make caps.
7. Post other info , like :
Size of File
Duration of Video
Quality of video
Dimension of video(If available)


Important :

While posting links from other sources , some persons do a common mistake . The simply copy the text of the link . Here , it results in incomplete link which is useless.

eg. you paste a link as :
http//:www.rapidshare.de/files/1343...i.html

This results in invalid link. Message from site will be "Link not available".
Correct way is to - Right click on the link you have got , then "Copy Target Location" . Then paste it in your thread.

A correct link will be displayed as :
http//:www.rapidshare.de/files/134358/Mymovie.avi.html

Once you have posted it in your thread , check once again that link is pasted & working properly. Otherwise , edit your post & correct the link.


HOW TO SPLIT A VIDEO IN DIFFERRENT PARTS
If you are posting a video of large size , its better to split it in parts . It will make easy for you upload as well as , a member before download , can decide by downloading the first part only whether he wants to download whole movie or not. Simple way to do this by using Freeware - HJSplit.

It splits a file in parts in size of your choice. Resultant files are as follow :

eg. , you have a video of 500 Mb , named Myvideo.avi , and you split in 5 parts of 100 mb each , it will split files as :

Myvideo.avi.001 ( of 100 mb )
Myvideo.avi.002 ( of 100 mb )
Myvideo.avi.003 ( of 100 mb )
Myvideo.avi.004 ( of 100 mb )
Myvideo.avi.005 ( of 100 mb )


These split five parts can again be joined by HJSplit easily.

How to make caps for your video

Method 1:
(using windows media player)

Step 1: open a movie in windows media player(I used some jenna haze clip)
Step 2: when the movie is playing press "ctrl+I" (at the same time) when you want to make a screen shot
Step 3: name the file whatever you want and save the pic in whatever directory you want

Step 4: repeat steps 2 and 3 for as many screen shots you want to make
Step 5: after you have all the screen shots you want upload them to a image hosting site(imagevenue.com)
Step 6: provide the screen shots with the movie your posting

Step 2: click file and open the movie you want to make screen caps of

Step 3: after opening the movie press the "little black tv button"

Step 4: when the dialog pops up choose the number of screencaps you want to make and press "OK"

Step 5: click "File", then click "Save file", name it and choose a directory to save it to
Step 6: upload the image to a image hosting site(imagevenue.com)
Step 7: provide the screencap with the movie your posting

Now I know a lot of you people complain regarding links in Megaupload and Sexupload, they both show that message All download slots to your country etc etc, plz try again later.

So i found a solution today which has been helpful to me, now I no longer get that message.

For mozilla firefox:
First go to http://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/59/
Click Install Now to install addon.
Restart FF. Tool-->User Agent Switcher--->Options--->Options
Click User Agents--->Add
Type this:
+ Description: MEGAUPLOAD
+ User Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.1; SV1; Alexa Toolbar)

Click OK twice to finish adding User Agent.
From now, before downloading any file on megaupload just go Tools--> User Agent Switcher--->MEGAUPLOAD.

For IE:
Start/run->> type regedit -> ok
Go to: [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\Internet Settings\5.0\User Agent\Post Platform]

Note: if U use IE 7
go to: [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\Internet Settings\User Agent\Post Platform]

Right click on Post Platform > New > String Value > type Alexa Toolbar > ok

Now U can download from megaupload without error : "All download slots (..) assigned to your country (....) are in use"

Try it and you wont curse megaupload and sexupload ever again (well not until they find a solution for this )
